2010: Meet the Gibbs twins, Poppy and Arthur. Born to an addict mother, with no father, in the middle of Ohio, they have been keeping their dysfunctional little family afloat for years by taking under-the-table jobs and hiding Mom’s stash so she wouldn’t go on yet another bender. It’s a hard life, but at least they have two things to brighten it up a bit: Their mutual love and support, and their dream of making it big in Hollywood someday. 2022: After twelve years of self-inflicted wounds and smoking wolfsbane, Poppy’s curse is finally catching up to her. She has days left before her final transformation, if even that. Thus, she resolves to make amends with her twin. What she finds, however, is not the brother she remembers. Arthur has become a D-list porn star living in an LA beach house bought and paid for by his lover, a rich but unremarkable Hollywood director. Despite countless false starts and even falser promises, Arthur is still determined to become a star; not just for himself, but for the sister he loved and lost. But when he finds that very same sister on his doorstep, alive yet inexplicably different, his life is thrown into a nose-dive.
Can the Gibbs twins reconcile, even after twelve years? Or are they destined to be devoured by their respective beasts?
